 Lifegivers Birth Mother Support Group
A confidential support group for ladies who have placed a child for adoption
- Usually meets on the second Tuesday evening of each month from 6:30 p.m. - 8:30 p.m. at the Liberty Godparent Home (Contact JJ or Erica to verify date of group before traveling long distances)
- FLS adoptive moms and waiting adoptive moms are invited to join the group to provide support and encouragement to birth mothers on the even months of the year (ie. February, April, June, etc.)

Adoptive Family Support Group
A Lynchburg area support group and social network of waiting adoptive families and adoptive families who have adopted through Family Life Services, privately, or through other agencies
- Meets six times a year for support group meetings, family outings, or ladies' night out
- Led by two FLS adoptive families

FLS Adoption Training Weekend
Spring, 2011
- A pre-requisitve for all prospective adoptive families in the domestic infant adoption program
- Couples must pre-register for this weekend with FLS
- Informational sessions include topics such as adoption communication, interviewing with a birth parent, talking to your child about adoption, transracial adoption issues, adoptive parent panel, birth parent panel, foster care, etc.
